5 Ways to Lead and Live Joyfully

As we walk through the “adventure” called life, we each learn valuable life lessons – in our personal and professional lives. Today I’ll share five things I’ve learned that have helped me through both challenges and triumphs.

As a global mentor for women, I know that leadership is not just about leading others—it’s about leading ourselves with grace, courage, and confidence. Here are five things I suggest we all do to lead and live joyfully:

  1. Be Genuine; Authentic
As a leader, when you come from a place of authenticity and truth, you can more effectively connect and collaborate with people who align with your values.
  1. Take Good Care of Yourself
Taking good care of yourself is not a luxury, it’s a necessity to maintain your physical, emotional, and mental health for optimal well-being, and to sustain functioning on the highest level, especially as a leader who constantly gives to others.
  1. Build Meaningful Connections
Seek relationships with people who lift you and encourage your growth, and who will be there when you need help. A supportive network is a great asset that can bless your life in countless ways.
  1. Embrace Lifelong Learning
Always be curious. Knowledge can potentially improve your life on many levels. Leaders should never stop learning and encouraging others to learn.
  1. Lead with Unshakeable Confidence
Believe in yourself, even when the path seems uncertain. Your “I can do this!” confidence will not only help you, but also inspire those around you to believe in themselves.

It is my hope that as we travel through life’s “adventures” we’ll lead and live joyfully. If you need me – for any reason – I’m here for you.
